Parks and Recreation- There are 96 acres of the City in parkland, street end or ‘pocket’ parks. Truxtun Park is a 70 acre park located at the headwaters of Spa Creek and includes a boat ramp, 12 tennis courts, 5 basketball courts, an outdoor swimming pool, 3 outdoor playing fields and one multi purpose facility. A joint-use agreement with the public school system allows the use of all public school facilities for recreational and leisure activities by the public.
