SherlockThe Clue Report. Have you heard of it? Well if you have not you are not alone as roughly 90% of consumers have not. Clue stands for Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange (C.L.U.E.) It is a little known insurance claim database, used by insurers, to determine risk for a specific home. A home with a history of claims may indicate a problem that needs to be fixed.  By checking with their insurance agent as to the Clue Report of a home they are interested in a buyer may have an upper hand in negotiating a better price.

Claims remain in the C.L.U.E. database for seven years. Current property owners can receive one free CLUE report a year. Call toll free 800-312- 8076 for yours. Having a CLUE report to share with your perspective buyers saves surprises down the line after a contract is signed.
